Henry Pember Smith (1854-1907)
Henry Pember Smith was likely a self-taught artist who was born in Waterford, Connecticut and had set up a studio in New York by 1877. He exhibited regularly at the NAD. Just after the turn of the 20th century, he moved to Asbury Park, where he died in 1907.
