Cecil Jay (Mrs. George Hitchcock), 1884 to 1930)
Cecil Jay was born in London and attended the South Kensington School, where she was instructed by artist George Hitchcock, whom she married in later years. Jay was a noted miniaturist, painting mainly in oils, and was a member of the Royal Miniature Society as well as the New York Watercolor Club.
