Carl Jordan (1863-1946)

A portrait, landscape, genre, and history painter, Carl Jordan was drawn to the visual arts at an early age, and received a thorough academic education at the arts academy in Munich, where he studied with Stahuber, Pefregger, and Loffts. In 1891, Jordan accepted a position as a Professor at the Academy des Beaux-Arts in Strasbourg.
