Roseville Pottery Magnolia Pattern

Roseville Pottery Magnolia Pattern

Roseville’s magnolia pattern presents white or shaded tan blossoms with large center on a black bent stem with small buds, but no leaves, on textured green, blue, or tan/brown background, 1940. Mark: Roseville in relief. 65 total shapes: 57 used once, five used twice. Shape #384, the basket, came in three sizes. The jardiniere, shape #665, came in five sizes and ranged from 3″ to 10.” The pedestal for the 8″ jardiniere was unnumbered. This was the first faked Roseville line and the list is long including a fantasy watering can and small vase. The fake cookie jar is darker than real Roseville. Magnolia is a middle period Roseville line.
