Roseville Pottery Thorn Apple Pattern

Roseville Thorn Apple’s typical configuration shows trumpet flower emerging from triangular pod against lighter background with holly-shaped leaves; knobby seedpod and leaves on reverse, 1930. Colors are shaded blue, shaded brown, and pink/green. Mark: Roseville impressed. 42 total shapes: 35 used once, two used twice. The vase/bowl came in four sizes and the jardiniere, shape 638, came in six sizes. Thorn Apple small, medium and large pedestals were unnumbered. Thorn Apple is a middle period Roseville line.
