Milk Glass Battleships
Many of these covered dishes were the product of condiment purveyor E. C. Flaccus Company of Wheeling, West Virginia, founded in 1877. Its leader, George A. Flaccus, was granted a design patent in 1898 for a “shipping vessel” container.
