Robert Wood & Co.

Robert Wood began his business as a blacksmith in Philadelphia in 1838. He operated under “Robert Wood, Philadelphia Maker” until 1857 when he took on a partner, Elliston Perot and changed the name of the foundry to “Wood & Perot.” Perot died in 1865 and Wood, in 1866 took on Thomas S.
