The Rozenburg pottery factory was founded by Wilhelm Wolff von Gudenberg in 1883 in Holland and operated until 1916 producing a variety of art wares. Post, Jacob – Revolver

Jacob Post – Revolver

A limited number of these rare revolvers were made by Jacob Post in Newark, New Jersey in 1849/1850. The guns feature a ring trigger, concealed hammer, a bag shaped handle and considerable scroll and leaf engraving on its frame.

Colt 1849 Pocket Revolver

Colt manufactured more of these pocket revolvers, about 325,000 between 1850 and 1873, than any other Colt percussion firearm.

LeCoultre Music Box Company

LeCoultre Music Box Instruments

Credit for inventing the cylinder music box, circa 1790, is usually given to David LeCoultre, of Brassus, Switzerland. His descendent Francois Charles LeCoultre (1801 to 1850), also a maternal nephew of Isaac Daniel Piquet, founded his company in 1828. He was succeeded by his son, Charles Francois LeCoultre in 1865, who ran it until circa 1871, when it became Perrelet & Co.

The early volunteer firemen were organized into fire societies. Strict rules and orders guided the members. Kazak rugs are characterized by coarse knotting with about 40 to 60 knots per square inch. These wool rugs often have bold designs in bright colors and average about 33 square feet in size.

Comet pattern Glass

Comet Pattern Glass

Glass in the Comet pattern was produced in America from the 1830′s through the 1870′s by the Boston & Sandwich Glass Co., Bryce Brothers, McKee Brothers and perhaps other glassmakers. It is identical to the Horn of Plenty pattern, which was made only by Boston & Sandwich. It is mostly found in clear flint, but some rare color pieces are known, including pieces in cobalt blue, canary yellow, amber, and white.
