The Kilgore Manufacturing Company Kilgore Manufacturing originally of Westerville, Ohio and later moving to Toone, Tennessee in 1961. Maker of cast iron toys including vehicles and cap guns, circa 1925 to 1985. Salvatore L. Aucello (American, born 1903) Aucello is best known for his public murals in New York City. Constructed of wood, tile, and mosaic, his most famous mural was completed for the Chrysler Building. Aucello studied at the National Academy of Design and was a project planner for the Public Works of Art Project. Tri-Symmetric by Vladimir Kagan Vladimir Kagan’s Tri-Symmetric line was introduced in 1955 and remains in production. The furniture takes its name from the symmetrical nature of the three legs that support the pieces. The Griswold Manufacturing Company The Griswold Manufacturing Company of Erie, Pennsylvania, circa 1865 to 1960. Makers of cast iron kitchen and home implements including cookware and hardware. Purchased by Wagner Manufacturing of Sidney, Ohio in 1957. Notes on marks. Griswold’s early cookware was plainly marked Erie together with a number and or part number. Rockingham Pottery Brownish glazed Rockingham pottery originated in England, where it was named after the Marquis of Rockingham, who produced it at his Swinton pottery. Essentially Rockingham is yellow ware that is streaked or dappled with a lustrous manganese brown glaze; some is tortoise-shell or spattered yellow.
