John Ross Key (1837-1920)

John Ross Key, born in Hagerstown, Maryland was raised by his grandfather Francis Scott Key. He was a painter of landscapes and historical works throughout America. He is also known for his etchings, illustrations and works in charcoal. He was a member of the Society of Washington artists and the Boston Art Club.
