Trabucco, Victor – Paperweight quote

Victor Trabucco

“Some of his newer pieces are magnum-size pieces, four and five inches in diameter. The flowers in these pieces, which were inspired by Mount Washington and Pantin paperweights that Trabucco has studied, appear extremely full and three dimensional because of the added crystal, which magnifies the subject within the weight. He has also incorporated a satiny effect in the petals of his roses. The type of glass used and the way it is handled shades the petals, giving them a very soft and delicate look. “The Art of the Paperweight”.
