William Meuttman (1869-1948)
William Meuttman was born to German parents in Cincinnati, Ohio. He trained under Duveneck and was a member of the Cincinnati Art Club. Like his contemporaries, Henry Farny and Joseph Henry Sharp, Meuttman traveled to the American West. The Smithsonian has records of 3 paintings he executed in Arizona between 1910 and 1920.
