Masood Ali Wilbert Warren (1905 – 1995)
Afro-American painter and sculptor Masood Ali Warren attended classes at the Art Students League in New York during the early Thirties. A participant in the WPA artists program, he later obtained Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts degrees from NYU (1939) and Temple University (1961), respectively. Examples of his work have been exhibited at the National Academy of Design, American Watercolor Society, and National Arts Club. Much of his work is now in the collection of the Richard Allen Museum in Philadelphia.
