Maude Kaufman Eggemeyer (American, 1877 to 1934)

A plein-air painter of landscapes and florals, Maude Kaufman Eggemeyer was an important part of the regional art movement in Richmond, Indiana. Edwards, Samuel – American Silversmith

Samuel Edwards (1705-1762)

Samuel Edwards was the son of silversmith John Edwards (1671-1746) and the brother of Thomas Edwards (1701-1755), both also of Boston. Samuel received commissions from the General Assembly for presentation pieces, and he was appointed Assessor in 1760. Along with his brother Thomas and Jacob Hurd, he was one of the leading makers/sellers of silver in Boston.

Edwards, Emily J – English Pottery & Porcelain Painter

Emily J. Edwards

Emily Edwards was one of the first women designers and decorators at the Lambeth Studios. According to John Sparkes, “her work is ornament made up of an ingenious mixture of classical or conventional forms with natural growths…often gave indication of close study of antique methods of decoration”. As she died at an early age, her work is much more rare than other designers.

Edward vom Hofe, New York, NY. Maker of high quality fishing reels, brother to Julius and son of Fredrick vom Hofe. Established operations in 1867 and continued manufacture to circa 1940. Received patents in 1879, 1883, 1896, and 1902. The May 20, 1902 patent date being the most common on Edward vom Hofe fishing reels.

The Edison Triumph Model “B” was introduced in July, 1906. The case was colored “antique oak” and was the first Triumph model to carry the “Edison” script identifier instead of the earlier banner identification.
